“Lo! How a Rose E’er Blooming,” Instrumental for a Small Orchestra (with organ, piano, & Harp)
An instrumental, 3-verse arrangement of “Es ist ein Ros entsprungen,” with a new setting for the middle verse. This version is for 2 Flutes, 1 Oboe, 1 Horn, 2 Trumpets, Optional Suspended Cymbal, Piano, Harp, and Strings (minimum 1.1.1.1, Opt. Contrabass). A small string orchestra could also be substituted for the quintet.

This arrangement is a 3-verse instrumental setting of the tune, “Es ist ein Ros’ entsprungen,” (Lo! How a Rose E’er Blooming). The version presented here is scored for2 Flutes, 1 Oboe, 1 Horn, 2 Trumpets, Optional Suspended Cymbal, Piano, Harp, and Strings (minimum 1.1.1.1, Opt. Contrabass). The second verse is centered on the strings, and the final verse begins warmly, with a new tune in a new key, featuring the Horn, before modulating back to the original key and transitioning back to the original tune for the climax of the piece.
Versions for choir and strings with piano, and for soloist, choir, strings, and organ, are also available (contact the arranger). Other versions can also be produced on demand for an hourly arrangement fee.
